Grant Proposals for 2022/2023 School Year

The PTO invites Allderdice Teachers and Staff to write proposals for the PTO to fund initiatives that will enrich student learning experiences. Grant proposals are reviewed by the PTO monthly. The deadline is the first of each month. 

Grant Proposal Submission Request

  1. When the form is submitted below, you will receive a copy of your responses. Please forward that email to Dr. McCoy.
  2. Dr. McCoy will either approve your request, he will ask you to provide more information, or he will deny your request.
  3. If you need to revise your application, edit the form and forward the revised form to Dr. McCoy for his final approval.
  4. If you receive approval from Dr. McCoy, forward your application with his approval to ptograntsdice@gmail.com.
  5. Documentation of your anticipated expenses must be sent to ptograntsdice@gmail.com with the TITLE of your grant as the subject header.
  6. Grant requests received by the 1st of the month will be considered at that month’s PTO meeting.
  7. You are invited to attend that month’s PTO meeting to answer any questions that may arise. The PTO Schedule is at: https://allderdicepto.org/pto-events/
  8. Approved grant applications will be notified via email.

2021-2022 PTO/PSCC Calendar Posted

Here are the proposed meeting dates for PTO/PSCC for the 2021/2022 school year. Any changes to the calendar will be posted on the PTO Events page, or visit Discover PPS – Allderdice for the most up-to-date calendar of events. For the foreseeable future, these meetings will be virtual via MS Teams. Access information will be emailed in Dr. McCoy’s weekly email.

The PTO portion of the meetings will start at 6PM; the PSCC portion of the meeting will begin at approximately 6:30 PM.

  • Tuesday, November 9 – Decision Making in Teens/Student Mental Health
  • Thursday, December 9 – Winter Concert + Multi-Cultural Dinner
  • Thursday, January 6  – Drug and Alcohol Use in Teens
  • Thursday, February 10 – College Application Process
  • Thursday, March 10 – Allderdice Black Student Union Presentation
  • Thursday, April 21– Student Showcase of 21-22 Accomplishments

Graduation Car Parade – Volunteers Needed

All families, teachers, students, alumni and community members are invited to come cheer on the Allderdice Class of 2021 at the Graduation Car Parade! 

Please mark your calendars for noon Saturday, June 12th at Schenley Park.
Volunteers needed to help organize the graduate cars on the day of the parade – contact Sarah Galusha (818) 590-4932 or Sara Goodkind (412) 605-4811 to help.

Please spread the word and encourage everyone to attend!  Note: precautions to prevent the spread of Covid-19 will be followed.

Support the Senior Celebration

Dr. McCoy and Allderdice staff are planning a senior celebration for 2021 graduating Dragons. In addition to this year’s seniors attending school fully remote for most of the year, they have also missed homecoming, athletic games, extracurricular activities, the semi-formal, and prom.  The school is working to make this event on May 27th a memorable celebration for the Class of 2021. 

Allderdice PTO is asking for donations to offset the cost of the event, and as well as purchase prizes.  Please consider supporting our 2021 graduating Dragons by making a special one-time donation today! Transactions are managed securely through Square and you will receive a receipt for your donation.
